Jack Ma will never need the vote of any Nigerian for any office and for anything, his entire life, but he has shown more empathy, more solidarity, more responsibility to Nigerians than all those who would, in the next few months begin to run around for our votes.

In China where Jack Ma comes from, you don't win a political position through popular acclaim but through the deserved anointing of Chinese Communist Party's politibro, yet Jack Ma keeps supporting his people of China in times of crisis.

Jack Ma made his billions through personal efforts and without any undeserved government patronage. He didn't get tax waivers nor was he given some special treatment to enable his business enjoy a monopoly, but he still supports his government and the entire world whenever the need arises. In Nigeria, we have billionaires who would have been petty traders or even homeless beggars in the streets of Lagos or Abuja, if they didn't steal government money -our money- or get some special waivers and loans from government. Yet, these people are all looking the other way while Nigeria burns. This class of wicked people are even most guilty of importing this virus into the country and distributing it around. Yet, they are doing nothing to ensure we are safe.

Jack Ma didn't bring Coronavirus into Nigeria, but he has brought us shipments of test kits, face masks and hundreds of millions of Naira worth of materials to help us, but the Nigerian big men who went abroad and imported the virus here are more interested in preserving their health without caring much about the helpless citizens whom they have infected.

Jack Ma sent these aids to assist the poor masses, not the thieving elites, but these materials as I learnt have been moved to Abuja, probably, to be shared first among the political class and the families' of the privileged. Nobody cares about the poor. To our own billionaires, the poor are outcasts. But they are mostly responsible for our poverty.

Jack Ma doesn't go to Church. He doesn't sit in the front pews to receive Holy Communion. He is not mentioned at church services neither is he knighted by the Pope. He doesn't even go to the Mosque neither does he make noise about a religion, but from what my Bible tells me, Jack Ma is more qualified to be in Paradise than all these churchgoing and Mosque shuttling hypocrites we have as our leaders.
