COMMEMORATION OF WORLD BIOMEDICAL SCIENCE DAY.

Association of Medical Laboratory Scientist of Nigeria (AMLSN)
has called on the Federal government and Federal ministry of health to seriously pay attention to local production of bacteria vaccines in Nigeria.

National president of the Association, Alhaji  Toyosi  Raheem made this call during a press briefing to mark the 2017 world Biomedical Science day  in Abuja.
He said,  studies have shown that locally produced vaccines are more potent than vaccines produced in foreign states, adding that there is a need to sensitize Nigerians on the danger arising from mis- use and abuse of antibiotics which poses havoc to organs and system of the body.
Alh. Raheem  stressed that the recent out- break of meningitis and other health related diseases calls for all hands to be on deck in appropriate and faster diagnosis especially the rational use of antibiotics.
He however urged the medical practitioners to see this year's world medical laboratory science day as a wake up call in focusing on the menace and curbing of antibiotics Resistance.
